What has been your best SUP trip so far?
All the SUP trips are unique and beautiful in their own way, as the sport gives you the chance to view all the places from a completely different point of view, so its hard to choose a “favourite”, however our latest shooting trip around Thailand has been very memorable and absolutely outstanding, as Thailand still offers to ride untouched waters and to be the 1st SUP paddlers in many places you decide to hit the water. Lakes, waterfalls, rivers, amazing wild life, pure nature…a real piece of Paradise, relaxing yet challenging all the times!

What paddling related accomplishments are you most proud of?
Well, in 2011 my brother,my dad and I have paddled 2000kms in 38 days all the way from the Black Forest to the Black Sea on the Danube, CRAZY EXPERIENCE! but I’m also really proud of my 2015 New Zealand National Champion title and the over all 3rd place at the Japan Cup in Chigasaki where I finally had the chance to compete against some of the TOP riders of the world and show them our potential!

Why did you pick your quiver:
I think SUP is a very technical sport, which means that your performance is highly related to the equipment you are using. Starboard creates the best boards for all the water conditions: so if there is a Surf/Course race I like to use my ALL STAR, if it comes to flatwater/longdistance activities the SPRINT is the best board you can choose and in case of Open Ocean cruises, downwinders or harbor-chop the ACE is the only board I can think of!

What do you do when you’re not paddling:
I’m a very nature oriented person, although I like the cultural advantages of big cities too, so when I’m not on the water, I like spending time outdoors with my friends doing other extreme sports or some crazy stunts, but I also enjoy visiting art galleries, listening to live music, reading books and discovering the non-touristic areas of the place I’m at.

Why did you choose Starboard:
THAT’S NOT EVEN QUESTIONABLE! STARBOARD IS THE BEST SUP/WINDSURF COMPANY OF THE WOLRD. INNOVATION – QUALITY and Starboard has been believing in my Brother and I since we were little kids, we lived the evolution of the company and experienced the Tiki Life, so we are proud to represent them everywhere in the World!

Tell us one thing no one knows about you:
I do believe in extraterrestrials and hope that one day they’ll find me!

Where can people find you on the web?

Who are your other sponsors?
