🎯 Let Kids Gain Self Confidence
There’s nothing like having the ability, from a very young age, to travel some distance and explore, while steering, balancing and controlling your own waterborne paddle board. Learning to ski or riding a bike is one thing, but learning a watersport propelled by your own physical power is another set of skills altogether.

🎯 Athletic Community and sportsmanship

Any athletic endeavour undertaken by a child can expand their horizons, help them establish an identity and build self-respect. Learning stand-up paddle boarding give chance to join a community of “waterpeople” of all skills and ages, connected by skills, abilities and a love of their chosen activity. A week’s SUP clinic or SUP Kids camp class will help give kids the ability to operate the equipment. And kids may learn every inch of their neighbourhood streets. It’s another set of skills to paddle into unfamiliar territory, following a route or with guidance, noting direction and routes taken, picking out landmarks and being aware of how to get back. Landmarks, tides, light and conditions may all be completely transformed by the time they make the return trip. It’s a sport that helps nourish an instinct for connecting and looking out for others. SUP has an abundance of fun and competition across age groups. An easy learning curve that may be taken at each individual’s chosen pace, with kids putting in as much time as they want or are able. Once they’ve gained some experience, they can in-turn become mentors for more rookies, and share their equipment and enthusiasm. They will develop their communication and teaching skills, and gain confidence and connection from sharing their knowledge.
