Let’s say that the east region zone is also beautiful as well as our south side sea. The east side beaches allow you to feel truly relax and keep the stress away. Not only the seaside is less turbulent than the southern side and also the wave is more calm, not so strong, which is suitable for water sports like SUP but also not far from Bangkok and you can manage your one-day trip in ease. From May to October, this area often experiences low-pressure troughs, which move from southern China to northeastern Thailand. This results in the central, northern, eastern and northeast have strong winds and heavy rains. However, in October, there is less chance of rain but the wave is still height 1-2 meters. For those who would like to go for a scuba diving or SUP, you should wait a bit more. Here in November, this period is the open sea and perfect for your dream SUP trip in Thailand.

Perfect months to catch the beach: January – April and November – December.

The eastern seas include: Koh Samet, Koh Kood, Koh Chang, Trat, Koh Mak, Koh Larn, Chonburi, Pattaya, and Rayong.

Let’s see another side of the sea, Gulf of Thailand. Koh Tao, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan are the destination that many tourists would like to be there once in a lifetime. With the crystal clear beautiful sea and calm wave, these islands are suitable for water sports at all times of the year. But don’t forget that around mid-October, the northeast storm will take its place over Thailand until mid-February. This powerful storm has its source originating from the high-pressure area in the northern hemisphere of Mongolia and China that bring cold and dry air to cover Thailand since the time. It also brings the moisture from the Gulf to cover the southern and result to heavy rain in almost all of the area, especially the South East Coast. Therefore, October to February is a period of time that you should avoid going to the sea around the Gulf of Thailand.

Perfect months to catch the beach: March – November

The Gulf of Thailand includes: Koh Tao, Koh Nangyuan, Koh Samui, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Chumphon

The Andaman Sea is known as a gorgeous gem of Thailand because of its clear water and many natural attractions. It obviously became a famous natural attraction for both Thai and foreign tourists since the early days for an extreme water sport like SUP and surf. Let’s say that you can enjoy your favourite water sports in every corner of the seashore because the terrain of the sea facing to the ocean is influenced by the wind blowing. But still there are strong winds that allow you to have fun with your SUP and surf activities. Between mid-May to mid-October, the southwest storm covers over Thailand, as it moves from the high-pressure area in the southern hemisphere. This storm brings humidity from the Indian Ocean to Thailand, which results in cloudy and rainy, especially in the coastal areas of the Andaman Sea and up in the mountain areas. Therefore, May to October is not quite a good option to be here for you SUP trip.

Perfect months to catch the beach: January – April and November – December.

The Andaman Sea includes: Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, Krabi, Trang, Ranong, Phang Nga, Similan Islands, Surin Islands, Koh Lipe, Tarutao, Adang Island, Tachai Island, and Koh Phayam
