            Koh Phayam is located on the Andaman Sea of Ranong. The is land is a large island, second place from Koh Chang (Ranong), about 4 km south of Koh Chang. In the middle of the island, there are mountains, forests and wildlife. Some wild lands are converted into fields. Villagers on the island have a career in coconut plantations, rubber plantations and Gayu plantations. The geographical features around the shoreline are alternating with rocky bays. In the middle of the bay is a beach, a famous cashew nut (Gayu) source. The island has an area of 35 square kilometers. The right time to visit Koh Phayam is November to May.

 

            How to travel from Bangkok to Ranong?

            Get a private car or tour bus from the south line as General Government bus. / New Mitr tour / Chokeanan Tour / Sombat Tour are available. Most of the departure time is around 20.20. The bus is available in VIP 1, VIP 32 and 24 seats to Ranong City about 5.30 am Then take the boat at the municipality pier Pak Nam for 150 baht for around 1.30 hrs and speedboat for 30 minutes for 350 baht.

            Koh Phayam has many beautiful white beaches, including Ao Yai and Ao Khao Khwai which located at the west of the island and also many resorts. The Mae-mai (widow) bay is located at the east as a wharf. It is the center of transport and commerce of Koh Phayam.

            Attractions on Koh Phayam

            🎯 Pier and Maemai Bay

            Pier at Mae Mai Bay is the main gate to Koh Phayam. The bay front has a pier. There is a visitor welcome badge, when walking to the shore. There are fishing boats of the villagers parked on both sides of the bridge near the main assembly hall, and there are food shops and daily necessities.

            🎯 Ao Yai

            The beach is divided into 2 sections by small canal. The northern beach is about 3 km long, at the north end is the rocky beach. The southern part is about 1 km long, at the south is the rocks. The Bay of Ao Yai is a strange one. The sand is black and mixed with white. So the sea water will be clear and opaque.

            🎯 Ao Khaoyai Beach, south shoure

            The south is a wide sandy beach. The bay is a sandy beach with its curve is similar to buffalo horn. It is about 2 km long. This place has the most white sand and clear water of Koh Payam.

            🎯 Ao Khao Kheow, north shore

            At the north end of the bay is a rocky boulder. There are many bungalows along the beach of Khao Khwai Bay. The water levels throughout the beach are not the same depth as another beautiful sunset point of Koh Phayam.
