Endurance IntroductionDecember 23, 2016
As promise from previous article that I will share you some tips, trick and how essential to improve your endurance with Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP)
To begin, I think is very important to understand what is the definition of ENDURANCE and ENDURANCE TRAINING
According to Wikipedia:
Endurance is the ability of an organism to exert itself and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from, and have immunity to trauma, wounds, or fatigue. It is usually used in aerobic or anaerobic exercise. The definition of ‘long’ varies according to the type of exertion – minutes for high intensity anaerobic exercise, hours or days for low intensity aerobic exercise.
When a person is able to accomplish or withstand a higher amount of effort than their original capabilities their endurance is increasing. In looking to improve ones endurance they may slowly increase the amount of repetitions or time spent. Increasing endurance has been proven to release endorphins resulting in a positive mind.
Endurance Training is the act of exercising to increase endurance. The term endurance training generally refers to training the aerobic system as opposed to anaerobic. The need for endurance in sports is often predicated as the need of cardiovascular and simple muscular endurance, but the issue of endurance is far more complex. Endurance can be divided into two categories including: general endurance and specific endurance. It can be shown that endurance in sport is closely tied to the execution of skill and technique. A well conditioned athlete can be defined as, the athlete who executes his or her technique consistently and effectively with the least effort. Endurance training is essential for a variety of endurance sports.
